Welcome to the Troop 821 Website! Boy Scout Troop 821 serves Hillsborough and Chapel Hill, North Carolina and the surrounding communities. Troop 821 is boy-run using the time honored patrol method. The troop averages 30 to 40 Scouts per year and more are always welcome.

We have weekly meetings and campout once a month. Traditionally we attend one local Camporee in the spring and we have summer camp in June at Camp Daniel Boone in western North Carolina. We also do at least one high adventure trek per year, including locations such as Philmont in New Mexico, Sea Base in Florida, Northern Tier in Minnesota, and others.

The troop is dedicated to building character and instilling Scout values. We emphasize leadership and self-reliance. Scouts learn essential skills through advancements and get to study many different things through the merit badge program.

Troop 821 meets from 7:00PM to 8:30PM every Tuesday night, except following campout weekends. We meet at Sunrise Church, 1315 New Hope Trace, Chapel Hill, NC. See the directions link above for maps and more information.
